I am now doing a final year BA Journalism course at the USW that has given me wonderful opportunities to also get a journalistic experience from outside the university. I am currently one of the mentors at the BBC’s 'School Report’ project that aims to bring news closer to children. I’ve absolutely loved to be a part of this wonderful project.
Furthremore, this year I’ve been also working on a documentary, that I’m honest, has been one of the most exciting projects I’ve ever done – because of the documentary I also had a once in a lifetime opportunity to introduce my project at BBC Radio Wales (in London Broadcasting House)
Final year journalism at the USW genuinely prepares you to be ready to step into the industry as there is a programme called Exposure that all the journalism and radio students run – it means we work like a real journalists, coming to the class early in the morning, having our news meeting and at the end of the day broadcasting our news packages on Exposure TV and Exposure Radio – believe me, this is a great fun to everyone who love the news!
