Frederik is in his 3rd year studying Chiropractic at USW. He has taken the time to share some of his favourite places to go and his experience as an international student here.
Why did you choose to study at University of South Wales?
The Chiropractic course is only available in a limited amount of places around Europe. The USW happened to be the best option for me, financial and language wise.
What advice would you give to any students who are thinking of studying at USW?
Don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith when considering studying here while you are foreign, because it has a very soft and enjoyable landing.
What’s your number one student experience so far?
Meeting people from quite literally all over the world. Before I came here I knew there had to be a few more international students studying here, but the variation in nationalities and cultures are beyond expectations!
Favourite places to visit or things to do in Wales?
Visiting places such as Tenby, Swansea, Bath and of course the national park the Brecon Beacons are very nice. Also attending sports events around here are definitely a recommendation, such as going to premier league football matches and the six nations’ rugby games. And last but not least: Cardiff itself with its restaurants, shopping malls, pubs and clubs, is definitely worth mentioning in my list of favourite places around here.
