Welcome to the University of South Wales. I am Syed Tajammal Hussain Shah, Regional Manager in Pakistan for the University of South Wales. I’m a USW alumnus based in Lahore. I’m here to provide information regarding admission and will assist you in submitting your application to the university, making your tier 4 visa application and providing travel advice for your journey to the University.

Fees and Scholarships

Scholarships

Students from Pakistan are eligible to receive our International Academic Scholarships which are available across all levels of study.

  • International Academic Scholarships of £1,500 for undergraduate students
  • International Academic Scholarships of £2,000 for postgraduate students
  • International Academic Scholarships of £1,500 for MBA students

You will automatically be considered for a scholarship when you make your application and you do not need to make a separate application. You will receive confirmation of any scholarship awarded with your offer letter.

Entry Requirements

Foundation Entry Requirements

  • Students who have passed year 12 Intermediate, HSC with an overall average score of 50-60% will be considered for entry onto the International Foundation Programme ; you must also have an IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent.
  • Students who have passed year 12 Intermediate, HSC with an overall average score of 50-60% will be considered for entry onto a Foundation Year Programme ; you must also have an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

  • Students who have passed year 12 Intermediate, HSC with an overall average score of 65% or above will be considered for direct entry to the first year of bachelor degrees.

English qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English language qualifications:

  • GCSE English at grade C
  • IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each band)

Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.


Academic Qualifications

  • Applicants with a 2 year Bachelor degree with 55% and above plus IELTS 6.0 or equivalent will be considered for advanced entry to year 2 or of a Bachelor degree depending on the subject area in question and the module match.
  • There are a number of colleges in Pakistan which deliver HND qualifications from a number of awarding bodies. These can be considered for advanced entry onto a Bachelor degree on a case by case basis depending on the subject area in question and the module match.

Postgraduate Entry Requirements

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English language qualifications:

  • GCSE English at grade C
  • IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum 5.5 in each band)

Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.

Academic Qualifications

The following will be considered further for postgraduate study:

  • Holders of a good Bachelor degree (GPA of 2.2 or above out of 4.0 or 55% or above) from a 4 year degree
  • Successful completion of a Master degree
  • Holders of LLB degree will be considered for entry onto the LLM award
