The University of South Wales has always been a popular choice amongst Nigerian students and we have been welcoming students from Nigeria to our campuses for many years!

Our courses in business and management, engineering, safety, health and environmental management and law are just some of the popular subject areas for our Nigerian students but there is also a much wider range of courses that are available for study. Please visit our Courses Page to view all of our available programs.

The University is proud to offer a friendly, safe and welcoming environment that all of our students can enjoy and is easily reached with excellent transport links. We benefit hugely from the location – surrounded by breath-taking scenery and impressive historical landscapes, and the buzz of two dynamic Welsh cities on our doorstop. Both Cardiff and Newport offer part-time employment opportunities, fantastic shopping facilities and a vibrant nightlife.

Self-financing students from Nigeria can take advantage of partial scholarships offered by the University at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. Students studying at undergraduate level will receive a Chancellor’s International Development Scholarships of £2,500 per year and Postgraduate students will be eligible for a £2000 scholarship!

The University has appointed an In-Country representative, Mr Edward Bassey who is available to assist with all applications. We are happy to welcome direct applications online via our Application page Once you have launched an application we will then ask our representative to contact you directly to assist you completing the application stage and then to subsequently assist you in launching your VISA application.
