The University of South Wales is a popular choice amongst Indonesian students and has been welcoming students from Indonesia to its three campuses for many years.

Popular courses amongst Indonesian students are MSc Safety, Health and Environmental Management, MSc Sustainable Power Technology, MSc Finance and Investment and the MBA (including associated pathway options).

Students from Indonesia have appreciated the scholarships offered by the University and have enjoyed the high standard of living but relatively low cost of living that South Wales offers. Fees and Scholarships

Scholarships

Students from Indonesia are eligible to receive our International Academic Scholarships which are available across all levels of study.

  • International Academic Scholarships of £1,500 for undergraduate students
  • International Academic Scholarships of £2,000 for postgraduate students
  • International Academic Scholarships of £1,500 for MBA students

You will automatically be considered for a scholarship when you make your application and you do not need to make a separate application. You will receive confirmation of any scholarship awarded with your offer letter.

Entry Requirements

Foundation Entry Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential for Foundation study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English language qualifications:

For International Foundation Programme – Intensive English

  • IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum 4.5 in each band)

For International Foundation Programme – General

  • IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each band)

Academic Requirements

  • Students who have completed 12 years of High School education and have successfully obtained the High School Diploma with a score of at least 6 and have an English language ability equivalent to IELTS 6.0 will be considered for Foundation Year Programmes.
  • Students who have completed 12 years of High School education and have successfully obtained the High School Diploma with a score of at least 6 and have an English language ability equivalent to IELTS 5.0 will be considered for the International Foundation Programme

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English language qualifications:

  • IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each band)
Academic requirements
  • Applicants with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-Levels will be considered for admission to undergraduate degree courses.
  • Holders of the D1 or D2 Diploma will be considered for suitable undergraduate courses.
  • Applicants who have completed a relevant International Foundation Programme will be considered for undergraduate degree courses.

Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.


Postgraduate Entry Requirements

English qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Postgraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English language qualifications:

  • IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum 5.5 in each band)

Academic Requirements

  • Applicants with an undergraduate (Bachelor) degree that is equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class degree (also known as a 2:1) will be considered for postgraduate programmes.
  • Applicants holding a Bachelor degree, also known as the Sarjana (S1) from accredited A universities with a GPA of 2.2/4.0 will be considered for postgraduate programmes.
  • Applicants holding a Bachelor degree, also known as the Sarjana (S1) from accredited B universities with a GPA of 2.6/4.0 will be considered for postgraduate programmes.
